Using the product
Answers about findings, reports, and metric definitions.
Why did a finding come back after I marked it resolved?
Resolving closes the episode; it does not mute the metric. A recurrence within 7 days of the resolution is treated as the tail of the same episode and stays quiet. After that, a new move outside the expected range opens a new finding, because a repeat of something you had closed is new information. To keep a known, explained regression quiet for longer, acknowledge it instead of resolving it: acknowledged findings suppress re-flags for 30 days from the acknowledgement. Acknowledging a finding that is already acknowledged does nothing. To restart the window, reopen it and acknowledge it again.
Can I edit a monthly report before I send it?
Partly. On a generated report you can keep or hide individual passages, and ask SyncingBeam to refine a single sentence with a short instruction. The rewritten sentence is checked against the same month's figures before you accept it. You can also ask follow-up questions, which are answered from that month's data. There is no free-form rich-text editor, so other wording changes happen after you copy the Slack-formatted draft or export the report. SyncingBeam does not send reports to your clients. The sample report at /sample-report shows the structure.
What happens to data when I disconnect a connector?
We disconnect a source on your written request. There is no self-service disconnect control in the product today. We stop collecting from that source and destroy its stored Google credentials. To remove our access immediately, revoke it from your Google Account's third-party access page. That takes effect regardless of anything on our side. Deletion timings are on the Security & Google data page.
Why doesn't "Users" match what GA4 shows me?
They measure different things, and the app notes this next to the number. Users in SyncingBeam is a sum of GA4's daily active users, so someone active on five days is counted five times. It is a volume of user-days, not a headcount. GA4's own Users figure for the same range is deduplicated and will be lower, often much lower over long ranges. Every metric and dimension has a note like this, one click from the number: what it counts, over what window, and where it differs from the source platform.
