The automatic survey API connection is implemented. Account credentials and live API validation remain pending.
What it collects
The API adapter reads survey definitions and individual survey responses, including answer text and response metadata. This connection does not collect heatmaps or recordings. File uploads are not supported.
Setup
On an eligible Hotjar plan, create an API key pair and store its client ID and client secret in the encrypted connector setup with the numeric site ID. SyncingBeam uses OAuth client credentials, so there is no browser callback.
Before production use
Verify token exchange, survey and response pagination, response truncation limits, missing site access, key revocation, and rate-limit retry. Survey responses can contain personal or confidential text; review collection purpose and access before enabling.
